Simon's Story
Growing up in Copenhagen, Simon learned to cook from his grandmother, who believed that good food brings people together. After years working in the city's demanding tech scene, he noticed something troubling: his friends and colleagues were too busy to eat well.
"Everyone was ordering takeout or skipping meals entirely," Simon recalls. "I thought, what if there was a better way? What if we could bring the warmth of home-cooked meals to busy Copenhagen lives?"
The solution came to him during a particularly hectic week when he batch-cooked meals for the month ahead. Friends started asking for portions, and soon Simon was cooking for a dozen people. The token system emerged naturally - a fair way to manage portions and give people flexibility in their meal choices.
Today, Simon's Freezer Meals serves hundreds of Copenhagen residents, but the mission remains the same: bringing quality, convenient, and delicious meals to people who deserve better than fast food, but don't have time to cook from scratch every day.

The Idea

First Kitchen
We opened our first kitchen in Copenhagen and started serving our first group of members with locally-sourced, freezer-friendly meals.
